About this job:

The Energy Officer’s role will be to lead the delivery of the Energy Resilience strand of the Mobilising Climate Action Scotland (MCAS) programme by empowering ethnic minority communities with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to reduce household energy use and adopt energy-efficient behaviours.

This role will work closely with our energy partner Changeworks, and with SAG

Responsibilities:

  • Co-designing and deliver targeted energy engagement sessions
  • Developing accessible learning resources
  • Supporting individuals and groups to better understand energy systems
  • Give access advice
  • Build household-level resilience in line with climate justice goals.

Competencies:

  • Extensive experience in organising energy related learning activities
  • Skills in developing energy-based toolkits, newsletters, information packs etc in accessible formats
  • Experience in building the capacity and energy resilience of ethnic minority communities.
